Combine iPhoto Collections

It’s not obvious how to add an iPhoto collection from one Mac to the iPhoto collection on another Mac while retaining album and roll information. Here’s how: copy all the albums to a CD or DVD from within iPhoto (Share > Burn). Then, drag the albums from that disc into the other Mac’s iPhoto collection.

When you look at “Events” in iPhoto, the thumbnail you see for each Event is called the “Key Photo.” To use a different picture as Key Photo, drag your cursor across the “Event” image.
